Guide to Blink Payment

Blink Payment allows you to accept card payments online, in person, or over the phone with a debit or credit card. The switch to payment links should result in a reduction in late payments, plus automated reconciling and far greater simplicity, with an invoicing system directly integrated into Zedonk.

Sign-up

  • Please complete application and business details here
  • Once received a member of the Blink team will contact you to discuss full requirements and ways you wish to take payment and the next steps:
Connect an existing Stripe account:
  • The Blink team will send you a Stripe Login link and ask for details of the Bank account you wish for funds to be deposited
  • A Blink contract will be sent to you for signature
  • Once signed Blink will set up your account and you can access your Keys to connect within Zedonk
  • First payment taken via Stripe will take 7 days and after that will be next day funding from each transaction
  • Total timeframe, can be set up within 1-2 working days

Activation 🪄

To get started, go to Connectors and click on Blink

From your Blink dashboard, copy your API Credentials

...to the matching fields in Zedonk

Hit Save (top right)

And if you see the below, your Blink connector is Activated

What's new? 🎁

In your Orders module, you'll see a Paylink button against every invoice (IN) and proforma (PF).

You'll also see a Paylink button inside every IN/PF.

Once you've generated a Paylink against a doc, we'll add a QR code to any printed document.

You’ll see three statuses for any Paylink:

1. IN-10052 - Paylink has been paid (Green ring, Locked & Paid)

2. IN-10051 - Paylink generated and not yet paid (Yellow ring + Copy button)

3. IN-10050 - Pre Paylink generation (Yellow ring only)

Need a Paylink? Just click any of those Paylink buttons: bringing you to below

Pick your favourite Accounts contact

Now hit Generate & Send, or if you’re not ready to send the link; Generate

You’ll see something similar to below. From here you can copy the link, bring up a QR code to download, change contact or resend. If you need any of this again, just click the Paylink button.

What do your customers see? 👀

When you Send a Paylink, Blink will send a similar email like below, follow the Paylink to the payment gateway

You can customise the email and payment gateway with your own logo through the Blink Portal: https://secure.blinkpayment.co.uk/login*

When they've paid, they'll see something similar to below

And you'll both receive an email like this:

Back in Zedonk, we'll lock the document and mark it as paid

After payment has been processed and your Paylink button gets a green ring, you can always click on the Paylink button again to see the total paid.

Anything else? 🤔

  • Paylink Paid? - Once a Paylink has been paid, you wont be able to generate another Paylink for the same document.
  • Change Amount/Currency? - We'll automatically inactive your old link, generate  another and ask if you want to send it out with a little banner to let you know
  • Track whats going on? -  we'll keep a record of any Paylinks generated, sent or changed. If the contact is changed and when its been paid, all from the logs of each document.
  • Want to be notified? - as well as the logs, you can set up alerts to tell you:
    • if a Paylink has been generated;
    • when a document has been paid;
    • or if the contact has changed
