Stock Allocation - Pick Allocation Screen

After you have selected the orders you want to allocate stock to, you will be presented with the Pick Allocation screen, where you can apply further filtering, run a pick, edit your pick and create pick tickets/delivery notes.

Each sales order will be displayed in a separate row. The sales orders will be arranged according to the previous Order Selection screen, but you can still drag'n'drop sales orders to make any manual amendments. The pick will prioritise orders listed at the top of the list.

  1. Available: The CLOSING stock quantities / Booked In quantities available for you to allocate/pick per product.
  2. Needed: The total sales order quantities per product based on your order selection.
  3. In Transit: The production quantities in transit per product.
  4. Production WIP: The outstanding quantities of those products present on open Production Orders.
  5. Del (Delivered): The quantities on pick tickets or delivery notes / the total to be delivered for the sales order.
  6. Pick (Picked): What has been picked for the sales order in the Stock Allocation module.
  7. Rem (Remaining): The remaining quantities for the sales order.

Pick Column Overview
The 'Pick' column shows you two numbers ....

The 'Pick' column displays two numbers, providing pick details for each order.

The first number shows the quantity of items you have picked for this order. It starts at zero and updates automatically as you allocate stock, reflecting the total number of items picked within your current session.

The second number, shown in blue, indicates the number of picked items as a percentage of the total ordered quantity.

Note: If you save a previous allocation and then return to this screen, the quantities will remain as they were.

Ready Column Overview
Ready

The 'Ready' column displays two numbers, providing details of stock that is ready to allocate for each order.

The first number shows the total number of items available to ship to your customer. This number is a sum of:

  • The items currently picked for this order in your session.
  • Any items on other pick tickets for this order.
  • The number of pieces on unshipped delivery notes for this order.

The second number, shown in blue, indicates the number of 'ready' pieces as a percentage of the total ordered quantity.

Total Column Overview
Total

The 'Total' column displays two numbers, providing details of the total stock that the customer will receive for each order.

The 'Total' column shows the total number of items your customer will have once all outstanding and shipped items are accounted for. This figure is the sum of:

  • Items you have picked in this allocation session.
  • Items on existing pick tickets for this order.
  • Items on unshipped delivery notes for this order.
  • The quantity the customer has already received (i.e., on shipped delivery notes).

The second number, shown in blue, indicates this total as a percentage of the total number of items ordered.

Order Column Overview
Order

The 'Order' column is the number of items on the original sales order.

The View Menu

Show Priority

Following the 'Priority' column, you will see key order details such as the order tag, delivery period, and the delivery start and cancel dates.

It is important to ensure your most critical orders are at the top, with the rest in descending priority. You can adjust the order in two ways:

  • When adding orders: Select a priority when you add orders to the selection list on the previous screen.
  • On this screen: Simply drag an order up or down the list to change its position.

Zedonk will allocate closing stock quantities (booked in production quantities) by starting at the top of the list, allocating everything it can to that order, then looking at the order below - allocate what it can, then looking at the next order on the list continuing down the list until all the available products have been allocated. You decide the priority of the orders.

By hovering over a row, you'll see arrows appear. You can then click and drag a row to manually re-order your pick. This is particularly useful if you need to prioritise a specific order for allocation.

Show Full Order Figures

You can expand the numbers in relation to 'pick' and 'delivery' status.

When you select this option, you see:

Full Order Figures

In addition to Pick, Ready, Total, and Order mentioned earlier, you now have:

  • Wait - Number of items/percentage of the total order on existing pick tickets and unshipped delivery notes. This does not include anything you allocate while on this screen. The number in the "Pick" column plus the number in this "Wait" column = the number in the "Ready" column
  • Ship - Number of items/percentage of the total order on shipped delivery notes
  • Prev - Number of items/percentage of the total order on all previous (or existing) documents, including pick tickets, unshipped delivery notes, and shipped delivery notes.
To summarise....
  • Pick - Quantity allocated on this pick screen
  • Wait - Quantity waiting to be shipped = pick tickets and unshipped delivery notes
  • Ship - Quantity already shipped
  • Ready - Quantity ready to be shipped = 'Pick' + 'Wait'
  • Prev - Quantity on previous documents = pick tickets and all delivery notes
  • Total - Quantity on this pick screen and all other documents = 'Pick' + 'Prev'
  • Order - Quantity on the original order
