
Stock Checks/Stock Counts are often performed within a specific stock pool/season to count how much inventory you have on hand (closing stock), of selected/ all products.
There are two main methods of performing a Stock Check: a rolling/cyclic stock take, and a physical stock take. The most common method is the Rolling/Cyclic Stock take (of Selected Products).
You will need to ensure you, or your admin user have enabled the 'Stock Check' permissions within your user permissions. (as well as the Scanning permissions if not already enabled)
To perform a Stock Check on SELECTED products
From the Product Stock Inventory list view, select the products you want to perform the stock check against, click on [Stock Check], and select [Start Stock Check]

...or to perform a Stock Check on ALL products
From the Product Stock Inventory list view, click on [Stock Check] and select [Start Stock Check]
Select [All Products visible in Season "XXX"] and click [OK]

You will then see the 'Stock Check' List View
1. Barcode - The barcode for that product and size in Zedonk.
2. Closing - The existing closing stock levels in that season.
3. Closing Cost - The total cost of the closing stock units (Total Unit Cost x Closing qty).
4. Stock Count - The current quantity of stock counted in this stock check. (Can be entered/edited manually)
5. Count Cost - The cost of the stock count quantities (Total Unit Cost x Stock Count qty)
6. Discrepancy - The difference between the stock count quantity and the closing stock quantity currently in Zedonk.
7. Discrepancy Cost - The cost of the discrepancy. (Total Unit Cost x Discrepancy qty)
8. Refresh - This runs a check every minute and will flash orange if other users in the stock check have counted new quantities since you joined/continued.
9. Scanning - Click here to enter the scanning window and perform your stock check using a scanner (See below for steps)
10. Submit - To Submit your stock check and update your closing stock levels.
11. Leave Stock Check - To leave your stock check and return later/ leave for another team member to complete/join.
12. Current Users - Click here to view all internal users contributing to the stock check.
This will take you to the scanning window

1. Refresh - This runs a check every minute and will flash orange if other users in the stock check have counted new quantities since you joined/continued.
2. Actions - Click here to select either of the following options

Undo Last Action - to remove the last scanned/entered barcode
Find & Set Quantity - to find a product and size and set the quantity as required via the below window:


Help - For support with using the barcode scanner with Zedonk
3. Sounds - To manage the barcode scanner sounds for the below actions

4. Barcode/Quantity - You can manually enter in the barcodes if you don't have a scanner
5. Add - Click add to add the barcode count when manually entering the barcode
6. Barcode - The barcode number for each product
7. Name - The Product ID + Product Description
8. Size - The Product/Barcode Size
9. Exp - The expected quantity (Current Closing Stock quantity)
10. Quantity - Stock Check/Scanned Quantity
Connect your scanner to your computer and start scanning your product barcodes.
(If manually typing in the barcodes, you will need to click [Add] after each barcode you enter)


You will see the amber 'REACHED EXPECTED' notification once you have scanned the same quantity of the product as your current closing stock levels in Zedonk.
You will see the red 'MORE THAN EXPECTED' notification if you have scanned more that your current closing stock quantity for that product / size within that season.
The product quantities affected will also highlight in red below. e.g:

Click 'Finish' to close the scanning window and apply the scanned quantities to the stock take

The quantities will be applied to the stock count column
Choose how you would like any blank product rows to be treated
> '... are ignored (no stock adjustments made)' - mean that no changes to inventory will be made to products with no counted quantities against them.
> '... are treated as zero quantity' - means that products with no counted quantities against them will be adjusted to have 0 units closing stock.
Closing Stock levels will be set accordingly and Adjustments created on the products
Adjustments created will be based on the discrepancy between the old closing stock levels and the new stock count

If not yet ready to submit your Stock Check, click [Leave Stock Check]

To continue your existing Stock Check
Head back into the Product Stock Inventory list view for the same season > select [Stock Check] > [Continue Stock Check]
To view any existing running Stock Checks in your System
Select [Stock Check] > [View Running Stock Checks]

Click [OK] to close
