Amending the Product ID for an existing product
If the Product is already Sales Order or Production Orders, amending the Product ID will automatically update it on all documents
From Product Costing, search for the Product you wish to amend
Click the Product to enter the entry or select [Edit] from action button
Within the Product entry, select [Change Product ID] from the [Actions] dropdown
Amend the Product ID accordingly
If the Product is already Sales Order or Production Orders, amending the Product ID will automatically update it on all documents
Click [OK] to confirm
Click [Save] to complete the amendment
The Product ID has now been updated on all documents across all seasons
You can also update the Product ID in bulk using the Data Import tool
Follow the steps outlined in the Product Costing - Data Import - Update Products lesson.
Ensure that the Product ID column and original values are included, then update the Style, Fabric and/or Colour values as required.
In Step 2 of the Data Import, ensure you select all columns, including Style, Fabric and/or Colour.
