Because Zedonk is a fashion-specific ERP, it uses Season-Based Visibility to mirror the industry's lifecycle. Unlike most general ERPs—which typically show a flat list of every record ever created—Zedonk's Season Selector allows you to isolate your workspace to a specific collection. This prevents "data noise" by ensuring that when you are working on AW26, you aren't accidentally viewing or editing products from SS24.
The Season Selector
The Season Selector, located in the top right corner of the header, is one of the most important tools in Zedonk. It allows you to define the specific season you are currently working with.
By default, selecting a season will filter the system to display only visible records relevant to that season, including:
- Products & Materials
- Sales & Purchase Orders
- Inventory & Stock levels
While the system defaults to season-specific records to keep your workspace organized, some modules allow you to remove the visibility filter to display and search for records from other seasons.
How to Switch Between Seasons
To change your active season, simply return to the Home Page and use the dropdown menu in the top right corner to choose the season you wish to work in. Once selected, your dashboard and modules will update to reflect that season's data.
How to Copy or Carry Over Products to a New Season
If you want to copy a product from season to season (often called "carrying over" a style), you do not need to recreate the product or duplicate it. In Zedonk, this is done using the Set Season Visibility tool.
Using this method is the best way to "copy" a style because it allows you to keep the exact same Product ID and Barcode number across multiple seasons, ensuring your historical data and inventory remain linked.
