What is the ACTIVE and INACTIVE status?

When you create a record in Zedonk, it is automatically set to ACTIVE in the system.

You can change any record to INACTIVE, which is like a halfway step to deleting it. INACTIVE records can still be found in your searches.

Note: If you make a Raw Material or Product inactive, it will be inactive in all seasons.

Important: If you deactivate a raw material or product in the season where it was first created, all associated costs, wholesale prices, and RRPs will be lost.

To deactivate a record, open the relevant record, untick [ACTIVE], and click [SAVE]

To INACTIVATE a record - open the relevant record and untick ACTIVE and then SAVE AND CLOSE

This example shows a Product which is now INACTIVE. The INACTIVE function is available in many areas of Zedonk.

You can mark records as inactive and view all inactive records across different modules, including Product Costings, Raw Materials, Customers, Manufacturers, Suppliers, Production Book Out/In and Orders.

Note: If you’re making a Raw Material inactive, you’ll need to deactivate all its variants first. If the Raw Material still appears in the Raw Material List, it means there’s an active requirement to purchase it in Zedonk. Once you either place the Purchase Order or update the Raw Material assigned to the Product in the Product Costings module, it will disappear from the list.
