The Barcode module allows you to define your barcode generation method, then the system will automatically generate unique barcodes for you (depending on the generation method selected) when you add new products to the system. You will also be able to print barcode labels and run reports containing barcode information.
The Barcodes Module is an optional add-on.

Please note that a barcode number cannot be duplicated in Zedonk. To re-assign a barcode number, you must delete the barcode number from the old product/size first.
Go to the Barcodes module, then click [Settings]
Enter/update the Barcode Settings, then click [Save]
- Barcode Type - Indicates the type of barcode that should be generated: “EAN-13” (13 digits) or "UPC-A" (12 digits). Note that you can only select one barcode type. You cannot have both EAN-13 and UPC-A barcodes in Zedonk.

Generation Method -
- Manual - Allows the user to manually enter barcodes, as the system does not generate them for you
- Random - Zedonk allocates barcodes within the numbers listed in Next Number and End Number in a random order. When the range is exhausted, Zedonk will not assign new barcode numbers. You must update the barcode number range for Zedonk to generate new barcode numbers.
- Sequential - Zedonk allocates barcodes within the numbers listed in Next Number and End Number in a sequential order. When the range is exhausted, Zedonk will not assign new barcode numbers. You must update the barcode number range for Zedonk to generate new barcode numbers.

Next Number / End Number -
- Next Number - Indicates the next barcode number to be allocated
- End Number - Indicates the last number available to be allocated

Start Number - Indicates the first barcode number in range (visible for Random generation method)
- Please note, it is recommended that your range/ barcode numbers start with at least a '1' where possible.
- Default Barcode Label - Style - Default label style selected when printing barcodes (can be manually overridden when printing). Review the full list of sticker styles.
- Default Barcode Label - Layout - Default sticker template selected when printing barcodes (can be manually overridden when printing). If the sticker size you are using is not available from the dropdown, please contact [email protected] so we can generate the required template.
- Default Barcode Label - Currency - Default currency displayed on barcodes with currency fields.
- Apply Barcodes to Inactive or Withdrawn Products - Indicate if you want Zedonk to apply barcode numbers to Products that are not currently active or listed as withdrawn within selected seasons.
- Seasons - Indicate which season you wish Zedonk to allocate barcode numbers to products.
- Log - Review the logs of changes to the Barcodes module.
- Barcodes left available in your range - Available numbers left in range.
