General Settings - System Settings

Set the default system settings for your Zedonk. These settings control how various details are displayed and managed, impacting everything from quantity displays to password policies and address editing on documents.

  1. Zero Display Symbol - Choose how you'd like a zero quantity to appear within Zedonk and on your PDFs.
  2. Raw Material Costs Decimal Places - Set the maximum number of decimal places needed to accurately cost a single unit of material (e.g., use 3 for a cost of 0.009).
  3. Enforce Unique Customer Account Code - Enable this to ensure that each customer has a unique account code, preventing duplicates.
  4. Product Weight - Select the unit of measurement for product weight to be used throughout Zedonk and on your PDFs.
  5. Default Label Style - Define the default style for product labels exported from Zedonk.
  6. Default Label Type - Choose the default type or size for product labels exported from Zedonk.
  7. Password Expiry Days - Enter the number of days after which users will be required to change their password. Enter 0 to disable this feature.
  8. Enforce Strong Passwords - Turn this on to require users to create stronger, more secure passwords.
  9. Lock Addresses on Sales Documents - If enabled, addresses on sales documents can't be edited directly. You'll need to update them on the customer record first.
  10. Lock Addresses on Production Dockets - If enabled, addresses on production dockets cannot be edited directly.

When Enforce Strong Passwords is active, users will need to create passwords that are at least 8 characters long and don't contain common words. Passwords must also include characters from at least three of the following categories:

  • One or more uppercase characters
  • One or more lowercase characters
  • One or more numbers
  • One or more symbols
