Sales Orders - Merge Sales Orders

There is a functionality in Zedonk that allows you to merge Sales Orders. This functionality is not active by default. We can activate this for you on request. Please contact the Client Success team for more information.

Before you proceed, please note that:

  1. You can only merge sales orders that have no sub-documents generated (e.g., Proformas, delivery notes, invoices, credit notes, etc.).
  2. The orders must be for the exact same customer.
  3. You cannot choose which order the other orders are merged into. The functionality does, however, add a comment to the surviving order detailing which Sales Order (SO) numbers have been merged into that record.

Select the Sales Orders

In the Orders module, select the Sales Orders that you wish to merge.

From the Selected menu click [Consolidate Orders]

From the top-right corner in the Selected dropdown menu, choose 'Consolidate Orders'.

Confirm and view merged details

Your sales orders are now merged. You can see the details regarding which orders were merged within the <COMMENTS> field of the remaining order.

Manual Alternative

Alternatively, you can merge Sales Orders manually by adding units from one SO onto the other, and then inactivating the duplicate/empty order.

Merging Sub-documents

Merging delivery notes is possible:

Merging proformas, invoices, return authorisations and credit notes is not possible. You can merge these sub-documents manually by adding units from one invoice onto the other, and inactivating one of the invoices.

Tip: The Client Success Team can enable a feature to correct invoice sequencing if you need to tidy up your records after manual merging. Contact [email protected] for more details.
